It may sound like a pipe dream, but for Regehr — chairperson of the Basic Income Canada Network — and a group of delegates from around the world, it is achievable, and should be available to residents who need it.
The income advocates will be converging in Toronto Aug. 19 to 22 to share success stories, and talk about how today’s tech advancements, like artificial intelligence, may actually speed up the need to provide a basic income.
