The public is invited to attend the Second Sunday Forum “Is Universal Basic Income A Solution To AI Automation?” presented by James Carroll, starting at noon Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos at 1738 North Sage St.
There has been an increase in interest around Universal Basic Income (UBI). Support has grown, even among conservatives. This trend is something that would have been unheard of just a few years ago. At the same time, adjacent alternatives, including Sovereign Wealth Funds and direct transfers of AI shares, have been discussed. This increase in interest has largely been driven by the AI automation debate. We seem to be at a pivotal threshold in the dialog where significant progress could be made.
